About this site

Five women with visibly different body lines in one studio lineup
Five different lines, one system

Bodytypes is a free, image-based style guide built around thirteen Image Identities — a way of reading your own bone structure, flesh, and features as one coherent line instead of a checklist of “problem areas.” Take the quiz, get your type, and use the type’s guide to make wardrobe, hair, and makeup choices that work with your line instead of fighting it.

The framework is inspired by David Kibbe’s Metamorphosis (1987), which first mapped the thirteen types along a scale from sharp, angular Yang to soft, curved Yin. Every page here is original writing built from that framework, not excerpted or paraphrased from the book itself.

This is an independent, unofficial project. It has no affiliation with David Kibbe, his estate, or any official Kibbe organization, and it isn’t a substitute for his book if you want the full original source.

Don’t know your type yet? Take the quiz — 16 questions, real scoring, no email wall.

Unofficial guide inspired by the Image Identity system in David Kibbe’s Metamorphosis (1987). Body types describe line, not worth — every type is the goal, not a consolation prize.
